Doctor Biography

Dr. Md. Rafayet Hossain is an ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon serving as Assistant Professor at Chattogram Lions Eye Institute and Hospital, Bangladesh. He specializes in oculoplasty, ocular oncology, and comprehensive ophthalmic care. He completed his MBBS from Ibrahim Medical College (BIRDEM) in 2014 and earned his MS in Ophthalmology from Bangladesh Medical University in 2023. He later completed advanced fellowship training in Oculoplasty and Ocular Oncology at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIOH), Dhaka. Dr. Hossain is experienced in Phacoemulsification (Phaco) Surgery, Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS), and the management of eyelid, lacrimal, orbital, and ocular tumor disorders. He regularly participates in professional conferences and continuing medical education programs and is an active member of the Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh (OSB).
