Doctor Biography

Dr. Nafiz Ahmed Shahriar is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Chittagong Lions Eye Institute and Hospital, with over 12 years of experience in ophthalmology and cataract surgery. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based eye care and achieving the best possible visual outcomes for his patients.

He completed his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College in 2013 and subsequently obtained DCO in Ophthalmology from BSMMU in 2018, MCPS in Ophthalmology from BCPS in 2022, and FCPS in Ophthalmology from BCPS in 2026.

Before joining Chittagong Lions Eye Institute and Hospital, Dr. Shahriar served for more than a decade at Chittagong Eye Infirmary and Training Complex, where he gained extensive clinical and surgical experience, particularly in cataract care.

He remains committed to continuous professional development and regularly participates in scientific meetings and ophthalmic conferences. He attended the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Conference 2024 in Indonesia and is a Life Member of the Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh (OSB).
