Associate Professor & Chief Consultant Ophthalmologist

Dr. Md. Altaf Uddin Khan is an experienced ophthalmologist currently serving as Associate Professor and Chief Consultant at Chattogram Lions Eye Institute & Hospital. He has dedicated more than two decades to clinical ophthalmology, cataract surgery, teaching, and community eye care.

He completed his MBBS from Khulna Medical College in 2000 and MS in Ophthalmology in 2015. He began his career at Lions Charitable Eye Hospital as a Medical Officer in 2002 and was promoted to Junior Consultant in 2015.

Dr. Khan completed fellowship training in phacoemulsification cataract surgery in 2017 from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital, Dhaka. He is actively involved in rural eye camps, providing eye care services to underserved communities, and regularly participates in national and international ophthalmic conferences and workshops.
