Doctor Biography

Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Bangladesh Eye Hospital, with experience in clinical ophthalmology, academic medicine, and public health service. He is also affiliated with Bangladesh Medical University, contributing to patient care, postgraduate training, and academic activities.
He completed his MBBS from Southern Medical College in 2012 and subsequently joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Health Cadre). He worked at Lions Eye Institute, Chattogram, from 2016 to 2019, gaining broad experience in ophthalmic patient care.
Dr. Islam completed his Master of Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology from Bangladesh Medical University in 2026. His clinical interests include comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract care, and the diagnosis and management of common eye diseases.
